Cars have come quite a long way since the first steam-powered automobiles began plying their trade on city streets in the late 18th century; these days, they are sleek and sophisticated machines that combine power and speed with economy and efficiency. When you’re buying your next car, there are many factors to consider, but one of the most important ones is gas mileage because it can really add up over time. To help you in your search, here are 10 of the best cars with the best gas mileage in 2022, listed according to price range.
Gas prices are on the rise as the number of electric cars continues to grow. Gas might seem a little more expensive, but is there enough incentive for you to make the switch? Fortunately, you have a variety of fuel-efficient options which are not all-electric, such as smaller engine vehicles or hybrid and plug-in hybrids. Notice, in recent years many automakers have started creating more fuel-efficient vehicles with technology like that.
For this list, we will spotlight the vehicles with the highest fuel economy rates according to the EPA. Be aware, though, that this list is only a taste of what’s on the market.
Our rankings update regularly with new data, so the scores you see on this page may not match those found elsewhere on our site.
